Managing Your Flights
After you've begun adding your flight information into AvJournal, you can add, view, edit or delete flights by clicking the Flights option in the navigation menu.
All of your past flight history will be displayed in the order of most recent to oldest. You can sort your flight history by any colum by clicking on the column header. So if you want to view flights from oldest to newest or by aircraft, simply click the column header you wish to sort your flight history by.
You can quickly view the comments or details associated with a flight by hovering your cursor over a flight in the flight listings page.
You can page forward and back, begining to end or go right to a specific page of your flight history by using the paging options at the top of the flights screen. The number of flights listed on each page depends on what you have set in the "rows per page" option in your pilot profile.
To add a new flight, simply click on the "add" button and a flight entry screen will be displayed. To edit an existing flight, click the "edit" button to the right of the flight in the flights page, the flight entry screen will be displayed with all fields and options populated as of the last save.
To delete a flight, simply click the "delete" button to the right of the flight listed in the flights screen. Deleting a flight is permanent and cannot be reversed, you will be asked if you really want to delete a record before a delete is performed.
Add a New Flight from the Dashboard screen or Flights screen. Edit and delete flights by viewing the flights screen or performing a flight search.
Finding Your Flights
You can search for specific flights in AvJournal by using the flight search feature located on the dashboard, flight listing screen or in the reporting section.
The flight search function allows you to find your flights using:
- From and through date
- Time period (30 days, 90 days, 1 year etc)
- Logbook category 1
- Logbook category 2
- Aircraft attribute
- Aircraft make
- Aircraft model
Getting the details from the results is easy, just click the Logbook Snapshot button in the top right corner of the results list to view the data in the snapshot view. You can print or extract your search results easily and quickly.
